Valkyrie Chronicles: Folkvangr

Folkvangr is published!

On January 17, 2014 my eBook, The Valkyrie Chronicles: Folkvangr, was added at Amazon.com! Print on demand paperbacks are live too! Before I even had a chance to make this post, copies were already flying off the digital shelf. I have the best readers in Valhalla and Heildfine! I love all of you!

Holding to my lame tradition, I'll babble a bit about this book before I give you an overview of the story. This SciFi book has some lesbian overtones just like Return of the Asgard and Bloodlines did. The Asgard race are not as hung up on gender as we humans are.

This book is the third book in the Valkyrie Chronicles series. The Vikings and their Norse Mythology has always been fascinated me, especially the Valkyrie and the legend of Ragnarock. This is a continuation of my "What if we just didn't understand at the time." concept of the Asgard and their technology.

I try to keep this basic thread going throughout the series while reintroducing Norse mythology concepts in a different light. What if the legends were all just the stories of actual happenings that were interpreted the best way they could understand by the Norse people. What if the Asgard race were so far technologically advanced that it appeared to be magic to the people of Earth at the time? What if the Valkyrie were the only line of defense against an invading alien race?

In Folkvangr, the book is narrated by the main character, Kara, for the most part, at times Freya gives her point of view. It tells of a permanent Asgard colony, Saellifor, being settled on Earth now that humans have risen to technical parity with the Ragnarok. Kara and the rest of the Asgard prepare for Transition away from Earth and to the planet Folkvangr which has been overrun by Ragnarok, and the Vanger people wiped out or enslaved by the occupiers.

Meanwhile Kara's aunt, Freya, wages a battle against the Ragnarok on Folkvangr for the very survival of the Vanger race. Will she be able to hold the line using trickery, subterfuge and cobbled together, patchwork technology, until the Valkyrie can arrive?

Unexpected alliances are forged and a new type of Valkyrie is born... the Valkfela!

The storyline for this continuation of the Valkyrie Chronicles series came at me so fast it was like being hit by the power of Thor lancing from Kara's fingertips. I am excited to put out my third SciFi novel. I am quite happy to see that the Valkyrie Chronicles' fanbase is growing in leaps and bounds. As in the first two books of the series, I did include a couple LGBT romance sub plots in the book for my Music of the Soul readers. I can't wait to hear the reactions from my readers. As always, it may not be as polished or professional as other authors, but that's how I write. I really believe this was a story worth sharing and I hope you find it to be a story worth reading.

If this book is as well received as the first two, I will start writing the fourth book in the series. "Seventy Two Hours"

And as always, I want to let my readers know that I love them and appreciate any feedback, positive or negative.

I'd be excited to hear feedback and discussion from YOU about the characters in Folkvangr. I'd love to discuss the story with you!
